Meanwhile at the Emirates, last season's runners-up Arsenal take on Liverpool. It is 12 years since the Gunners last won the league - and 26 since their opponent's last title triumph. Arsenal fans will hope the signing of Swiss international Granit Xhaka will give their midfield more bite this season, while Liverpool supporters will be expecting much from Senegalese forward Sadio Mane, who joined from Southampton this summer.
